The music
After years of absence in the lower part of the canton, the OSR will be making its grand return to the Temple du Bas.
Winner of the 2015 Paganini Competition and the 2022 Sibelius Competition, violinist Inmo Yang is now one of the leading exponents of his instrument. After concerts at New York's Carnegie Hall, Boston and the Marlboro Festival, to name but a few, he will be in Neuchâtel to perform the famous Sibelius Concerto conducted by Jonathan Nott.
To open the programme, the OSR will present the piece Morphosis by the Genevan composer William Blank.
Morphosis (a term used in biology) means the way in which an organism or one of its parts changes its shape and develops. By analogy, this is what the work proposes in its single-movement form, alternating various characters, successively: Calm, Grave, Vehement, Allant, Vif and Immobile.
