Founded in 1942 by violinist Victor Desarzens, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne has become one of Europe's most sought-after chamber phalanges.
The dynamism, stature and vast musical experience of the celebrated French violinist and conductor Renaud Capuçon, its artistic director since 2021, have enabled the orchestra to further consolidate its international reputation, and to attract some of the greatest names to its ranks.
Comprising some forty instrumentalists, the OCL is resident at the Salle Métropole and performs regularly at the Théâtre de Beaulieu, with a repertoire ranging from early Baroque to contemporary works.
