The Orchestre de la Suisse Romande is honoured to have been invited to play at CERN's 70th anniversary ceremony on 1 October 2024. This celebration was an opportunity to highlight the institution's rich past and forward-looking vision.
For this concert, Zofia Kiniorska, assistant conductor of the OSR, conducted Pavane by Gabriel Fauré before leaders of CERN's member states and associate members, including Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium and Her Excellency Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission.
