Born in Geneva, Xavier Dami studied piano with Anne-Marie Riise, Eduardo Vercelli, Dominique Weber and Ronald Brautigam, as well as in performance classes given by András Schiff, Vitaly Margulis and Leon Fleisher. The winner of various prizes, he holds a diploma (summa cum laude) and a virtuosity diploma (with distinction and congratulations from the jury).

He has worked with the OSR, the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève, the Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne, Le Motet, La Psallette, the Ensemble Vocal Séquence, the Choeur Cantatio and the HEM in Geneva. He works with many renowned singers, but also performs in recital and chamber music in a variety of repertoires. He has been invited to perform at the Musiktage Mondsee near Salzburg, the Musicales de Colmar and the Split Summer Festival. Xavier Dami premiered Didier Puntos's L'Ombre des jumeaux in Mulhouse, Gregorio Zanon's Concerto grosso, and appeared in the two-piano version of Impressions de Pelléas, based on Debussy's opera. He has been pianist and vocal conductor at the Grand Théâtre de Genève for many years, where he is often heard on continuo (Le Nozze di Figaro, La Clemenza di Tito, Don Giovanni, Il Barbiere di Siviglia), with the OSR (Petrouchka, Lulu, etc.) or in recital. From the piano, he conducted La Petite Zauberflöte at the Montreux-Vevey Festival.
